The Business Representative is ultimately the person responsible for the running of the Local. The Business Representative is the only full-time elected position within the Local and they work to lead the Local, handle the day-to-day operations of the Local, act as the conduit between the companies and the membership, and also work as the financial secretary for the Local. Business Representatives serve a three-year term.
The Executive Board consists of the Local's Business Representative, the Local's elected President, the Local's Vice-President, and five elected members. All Executive Board members serve a two-year term and are elected in such a way that on the odd numbered calendar years three positions are open and on the even numbered calendar years two positions are open. The Executive Board acts to assist the Business Representative and, in general, helps manage the overall direction of the Local. The Executive Board also presides over all disciplinary actions put before the Local.
The Recording Secretary is responsible for the writing, compiling, and reading of all meeting minutes within the Local, as well as relaying and responding to all communications to and from the Local. The Recording Secretary also attends Executive Board meetings to record minutes, but is not a voting member of the Executive Board. The Recording Secretary serves a one-year term. Andrew Zielke Trustees oversee the financial aspects of the Local. The Trustees serve for a term of three years and are elected in such way that the term of one Trustee expires at the end of each term successively. JJ Gusho Mathew Racette Ben Vandenberg The job of the Warden is to act as a gate keeper for the Local's meetings. The Warden checks dues-cards at the meetings, ensuring that only members in good standing are permitted into our meetings. They also distribute information to members at the meetings and ensure decorum is maintained during meetings. The Warden is elected every year and serves a one year term. Mike Reeves The JAC is responsible for overseeing the apprenticeship program within the Local. It is a joint committee between representatives from signatory companies and union officers. Together, these members help administer and guide the apprenticeship program, evaluate the progress of each of our apprentices, and track the on-the-job performance of apprentices.
Local 15 elects, annually, two officers who act as delegates to the Milwaukee Area Building Trades Council. These officers attend council meetings, report back to the membership, and act as an intermediary between Local 15 and the Trades' Council. Nike Brady Matt Racette Christine Franz
